This corner of the calendar is all about the people in our lives. Friends, family, neighbors, teachers, partners, siblings, and sometimes even complete strangers all get their moment. Some of these holidays have surprisingly heartfelt beginnings, while others were clearly invented by someone who thought the world could use a few more hugs.
